What we collect

This is an information website. There are no user accounts, no logins and no newsletter, so the personal data we handle is limited to the following:

  • Server logs. As with nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically records the IP address, browser type, page requested, referring page and time of each visit. We use this to keep the site secure and working.
  • Analytics. Aggregated and largely anonymised information about which pages are read, from which country, on what kind of device and for how long.
  • Advertising and affiliate clicks. When you click an outbound offer link, a click identifier is created and passed to the advertiser so the referral can be credited to this site. This identifier is not connected to your name.
  • Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, email or call us, we keep what you send for as long as we need to deal with your enquiry.

We never ask for — and do not want — your passwords, recovery codes, master password or any other login details. We do not collect payment information: any purchase happens on the vendor's own website, under that vendor's privacy policy.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site and the third parties listed below may use cookies or similar identifiers for the following purposes:

  • Strictly necessary — keeping the site secure and delivering pages correctly. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics — understanding which pages are read and how the site performs.
  • Advertising and attribution — recording that a visit or click came from this site so the advertiser can credit the referral, and measuring advertising performance.

Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we ask for it, and you can withdraw it at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may then work differently.

Legal bases for processing

  • Legitimate interests — keeping the site secure and available, preventing misuse, understanding overall readership, and crediting referrals so that the advertising which funds the site can be paid for.
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies and similar advertising or analytics identifiers, where consent is required.
  • Legal obligation — where we must keep records to comply with Lithuanian or EU law.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. Limited data is shared with service providers working on our behalf or acting as independent controllers:

  • Our hosting provider, which processes server logs in order to run the site.
  • Analytics providers, which process usage data for us.
  • Advertisers and affiliate networks, which receive click and attribution data when you follow an outbound offer link.
  • Professional advisers or public authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

Server logs are kept for a limited operational period, normally no longer than twelve months. Aggregated analytics may be kept longer because it no longer identifies anyone. Messages you send us are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and keep a record of it, and are then deleted.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent.

To use any of these rights, email info@netharborguide.com. We will reply within one month; if a request is complex we may extend this period and will let you know. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in Lithuania this is the State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija).

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

Pages on this site link to third-party websites, including those of advertisers. Once you follow such a link, you are subject to that website's own privacy policy and cookie practices, which we do not control. We recommend reading them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website or the law changes. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and significant changes will be highlighted here.
